Today, Parliament is expected to vote on the new territorial reform, which is expected to be accompanied by debates, due to opposition, not only from the opposition, but also from within the SP group.
The majority must secure 84 mandates in order to approve this reform. Meanwhile, the opposition has announced action both inside and outside the parliament. Many citizens have also announced protests like every Thursday when there are plenary sessions.
In the context of the session and the protest, the police have taken increased security measures around the Parliament building. The area in front of the Parliament has been surrounded with metal barriers to limit the approach of protesters towards the building. In addition, numerous police forces have been deployed on the side of the entrance to the Ministry of Interior.
