Italian media have revealed new details about the murder of 55-year-old Albanian Mikel Rroku, who was found dead in his apartment in Turin. A few days ago, Italian authorities arrested his ex-wife and her new partner after both are suspected of collaborating in planning and carrying out the murder.

Rroku, who worked as a pizza chef, was found dead in an apartment on July 6 after residents of the building alerted emergency services to a strong smell coming from the apartment. After about three months of investigation, the carabinieri arrested the victim's ex-wife, Laura Bordello, 47, and her new partner, Duccio Fragiacomo, 52. Both are charged with premeditated murder.

According to investigators, the story between Bordello and Fragiacomo began after the two met in a care center for depression-related problems. Investigators suspect that the couple had begun to think about a life together and about living in the apartment where Rroku lived. This apartment is suspected to have become one of the main elements of the motive for the crime.

Investigators have seized and analyzed communications that, according to them, show the two suspects' interest in eliminating Rroku. Among the evidence collected is a message in which the woman expressed her desire to kill her ex-husband.

Investigators suspect that other attempts were made to carry out the plan before the murder. In one of the cases, Fragiacomo is suspected of having traveled to Turin carrying a knife and a metal handle, but had failed to find Rroku's apartment.

According to the authorities' reconstruction, the couple then allegedly decided to act inside the apartment. Rroku is believed to have been attacked on the morning of June 30 and hit in the head with a hard object. Investigators suspect a hammer was involved, but the murder weapon has not been found. When firefighters entered the apartment, they found Rroku's body on the floor.

Investigators used wiretaps and surveillance to reconstruct their movements before and after the murder. One element that has caught the attention of investigators is also the searches on the suspects' phones. A question was found in the ChatGPT history that related to the use of methadone to cause death. In another conversation, Bordello allegedly expressed a desire to kill the victim, whom he called "Momo."

According to investigators, the couple ultimately decided to attack Rrok in his apartment. After the crime, they allegedly began to think about leaving Italy, but they were arrested. ©LAPSI.al

Blendi Kajsiu: Prime Minister's misunderstanding on anti-corruption

The fact that no institution of our public administration noticed that millions of euros were invested in phantom incinerators, that AKSHI was controlled by an ordinary criminal, that the directors of the Municipality of Tirana awarded tenders to themselves, or that the police director and the director of SHISH worked for Gysi, shows that we do not have a public administration and a state.
