Bebe Rexha has confessed that Taylor Swift contacted her at a difficult time for her, when the singer was facing rejections from stylists because of her body shape.
Rexha shared the story during an interview with E! News, while attending the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony.
"I remember when I had that whole Grammy situation and I couldn't find a dress. She had contacted me, because we're the same age," the "I'm Good (Blue)" singer said.
"And I thought it was really, really kind of her," Rexha added.
The 37-year-old singer recalled that at that time very few people were interested in her situation.
"Almost no one contacted me. Some people did, of course. But for her, on that level, to make me feel like I belonged in that world, it was really beautiful," Rexha said.
In 2019, Bebe Rexha made headlines after revealing that several designers had refused to dress her for the Grammys, telling her it was "too big."
At the time, the singer said her team had reached out to many designers but had received negative responses due to her size. Rexha criticized the fashion industry, arguing that rejecting women of different sizes from fashion standards sends the wrong message about beauty and the female body.
Despite the controversy, the singer shone on the red carpet at the 2019 Grammys, where she appeared in a spectacular red dress designed by Monsoori. During that time, Rexha also received public support from other artists, including Demi Lovato and Rita Ora.
Over the years, the singer has also reacted to negative comments about her body on social media, stating that she doesn't want people to feel sorry for her.
"I know everything very well. I know I've gained weight. I know I've been through a lot. I don't want you to feel bad for me, because I promise you I feel stronger than ever," she declared in 2025.
