The DP parliamentary group has requested a change to the agenda of the plenary session of the Assembly on September 24, and to focus on discussions on the situation created in the State Intelligence Service (SHISH) after Vlora Hyseni was placed under house arrest and dismissed from her post. In the document addressed to the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, the head of the parliamentary group Gazment Bardhi requests the removal from the agenda of two urgent interpellations, respectively with the Minister of Environment, Sofjan Jaupaj, and the Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro. The Democrats demand that Prime Minister Edi Rama provide explanations regarding the situation created in the intelligence service.
"Through these illegal activities, citizen Vlora Hyseni has seriously damaged the public's trust in state institutions, as well as the trust of international partners in the Albanian state, has violated national security, as well as the security of NATO allies. It is a unique and unprecedented case in the history of Albania that the Director of SHISH is placed under two personal security measures, as there are data, indications and convincing evidence that she helped Ergys Agasin...", the request states. The Democrats' request comes after recent developments regarding the former director of SHISH, Vlora Hyseni, to whom the GJKKO imposed the security measure "house arrest", as well as suspension from exercising her duties, within the framework of SPAK's investigations into Ergys Agasin and the AKSHI affair. After these developments, she was dismissed from her post.
