A fire broke out this afternoon on the first floor of the "Garden" hotel, in the "18 Shtatori" neighborhood in Gjirokastra.
The MZSH service was notified at around 15:03 by a citizen and the intervention team immediately went to the scene. Firefighters determined that the flames had engulfed the restaurant's kitchen and intervened with powder and water extinguishers.
The fire was extinguished in time, preventing the flames from spreading to other areas of the hotel. It is suspected that the fire was caused by a gas appliance, where a pot for heating water was placed and which had been left on.
The incident caused only minor material damage, while the quick intervention of firefighters prevented its spread.
