The situation in the center of Pristina remains tense as Kosovo police are trying to disperse protesters gathered in front of the Parliament. Law enforcement officers have attempted to remove citizens from Skanderbeg Square, firing tear gas at them.
According to protesters and some opposition representatives, tear gas was fired from the government building located next to the Parliament building.
Riot police officers have set up a cordon in this square in the capital and are continuing to push protesters away from the Kosovo Government and Assembly buildings.
Meanwhile, several protesters were reported injured. Kosovo police said they used tear gas to allow MPs and officials to leave the parliament after a group of protesters blocked the exit.
Protesters threw objects and pyrotechnic devices towards state buildings, forcing several MPs and officials to return inside the Parliament.
Fireworks were also thrown at the government building. Police reported damage from objects being thrown and several garbage containers being burned on the street.
