
Two people have been declared wanted, while another has been criminally prosecuted after an operation during the transportation of 15 illegal immigrants in Korça.
According to information, police forces have found two vehicles near the village of Kapshtica, which are suspected of having picked up a group of illegal immigrants. Numerous forces have been deployed to pursue the two vehicles, after the drivers did not obey the stop order.
The drivers of the vehicles left about 15 illegal immigrants near Lozhani and drove off towards Gramsh. There they encountered a checkpoint, crashing into two patrol cars and endangering the lives of police officers. After the collision, they continued on their way, while the two vehicles were found abandoned in two villages of Gramsh.
The police have identified the two drivers and have declared them wanted, while a third person has been released. The 15 migrants were found hiding in a stream near the village of Lozhan in Maliqi, while the two vehicles used to transport them to Tirana have been seized.
The police continue to work to capture the two wanted persons, and investigations are ongoing to fully uncover the circumstances and other persons involved in this activity.
