49-year-old convict ends his life in Rec prison

A 49-year-old convicted prisoner in Reç prison has been found dead in the institution's premises.
He is Agron Llapushi, who was found hanging with a rope in the shower area.

Llapushi was serving a sentence of 24 years and 4 months in prison for the murder of his wife, Alketa Llapushi, an event that occurred in 2015.

According to the records, he had very little contact with family or relatives during the years he served his sentence. One meeting was recorded in 2023 and another in 2025. For the rest of his prison term, the 49-year-old does not appear to have had any visits. Authorities are expected to clarify the full circumstances of the incident.
