A missed right of way, an accident avoided and, to top it all off, a police chase with sirens blaring in his Lamborghini Urus. Jordan Pickford has landed in trouble in Knutsford for a dangerous road manoeuvre that almost caused a collision with two cars at an intersection: the Everton and England goalkeeper completely ignored the right of way and carelessly entered the road, triggering a police chase at nearly 100 km/h.
The accident that Pickford almost caused
The incident dates back to April 14, when Pickford was driving on the streets of the city where he lives with his family. According to the testimony of police officer Cecil Riccardo, who was in front of the police station at the time of the incident, the porter aboard the blue Lamborghini Urus ignored the right of way at an intersection, forcing two drivers to brake hard to avoid a serious accident.
At that point, the policeman turned on his siren and flashing lights and set off in pursuit of the footballer's car: he reached nearly 100 km/h in the city centre, where the speed limit is just over 40 km/h, but Pickford's Lamborghini continued to accelerate, ignoring all signals.

A short time later, the goalkeeper was stopped on the side of the road and reported for dangerous driving, with the appropriate judicial measure. The case remained pending for several months, but on September 23 last year the Englishman was formally charged and pleaded guilty.
The hearing is set for December 7: Pickford will present his version of events and mitigating circumstances, but risks having points deducted and also having his license suspended for causing the incident and inadvertently starting a police chase.
