
Relatives of the victims who lost their lives in the explosion and collapse of the building that occurred on Friday in the "Plaka" neighborhood have arrived in Athens.
The victims were identified as Florin Hoxha, his sister, Florida Hoxha, Eris Cani, Florin Hoxha's wife, Ian Alexander Kirpatrick, Florida Hoxha's husband, as well as the building's owners, Edmond Hings and Athina Papapresku.
The families of the victims have arrived in Greece, after being called by the competent authorities, in order to provide genetic material for DNA comparison and to complete the process of identifying and identifying the bodies.
At the same time, investigations continue to clarify the causes of the tragedy in which 6 people lost their lives. According to “ Kathimerini” , a team of the Hellenic Fire and Rescue Service composed of 10 specialized officers carried out autopsies and detailed checks, collecting and evaluating every element that could contribute to determining the circumstances of the tragedy.
The building materials have also been transferred to a specially designed area for analysis. The investigation is focused on the second-floor apartment where the elderly couple lived, as it is suspected that the explosion occurred there.
