Flags, emblems of the Kosovo Liberation Army and photographs of former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi have been placed in various cities in Kosovo.
On the eve of the announcement of the verdict against them in The Hague, clocks have been set up in some cities that count down the time remaining until the moment of the decision.
"Liberators, bring it home," reads one of the billboards placed in the center of Pristina, where there are less than 24 hours left until the verdict is announced.
The four former KLA commanders are charged by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers with war crimes and crimes against humanity. The verdict is expected to be announced on the morning of September 16.
The decision is considered one of the most important of the Special Court in The Hague, which was established in 2015 to deal with allegations of crimes committed during and after the war in Kosovo.
In Kosovo, the wait for the verdict has been accompanied by calls for the release of former KLA leaders, while attention has focused on what will be decided in the courtroom in The Hague.
