Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić reacted to the verdict of the Special Court in The Hague against Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selim, stressing that Serbia must maintain peace and stability and confront the past through dialogue. In a press conference, Vučić criticized the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, claiming that the verdict does not include some charges and alleged crimes against Serbs, while noting that the four former KLA leaders were sentenced to a total of 81 years in prison.
He also said the verdict does not involve crimes against humanity.
"All of this was not taken into account, and as I said, these six charges, which relate to the most serious crimes against humanity, were not found guilty. We have no reason to be happy or sad," Vučić said.
