Wanted for drug trafficking, Ukrainian arrested in Rinas

The Joint Investigative Services Unit at the Criminal Police Department, in cooperation with the Rinas Border Police Commissariat, thanks to the real-time exchange of information with the Federal International Investigations Unit DSS/OCIU, at the United States Embassy in Tirana, arrested the citizen:

S., 53 years old, Ukrainian citizen.

This citizen was arrested by the Police services the moment he landed at Rinas Airport.

The Ukrainian citizen was wanted by Kiev law enforcement authorities for drug trafficking as part of a criminal organization.

The State Police is working with partner agencies regarding this member of the criminal organization, and Interpol Tirana is working to initiate extradition procedures with its Ukrainian counterparts.

Once again, the State Police thanks its partner agencies for their continued cooperation in Albania.
