A road accident was recorded on the Gjirokastër-Kakavijë axis, where a 77-year-old pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.
According to preliminary information from the Police, the driver of the Toyota vehicle is citizen AM, 29 years old, resident of Gjirokastra. The collision occurred while the vehicle was moving on this road axis.
As a result of the accident, pedestrian Violeta Selfo, 77 years old, was taken to the Gjirokastra Regional Hospital, where she is under the care of doctors.
The driver of the vehicle has been taken to the police station for further action, while the investigation team is at the scene and is working to document the circumstances and causes of the accident.
