
A 29-year-old Albanian man has been arrested in Italy after police seized over 414 kilograms of cannabis, worth an estimated 4 million euros. According to Italian media, the drugs were found in the Guidonia area and were suspected of being ready to be distributed in Rome and the surrounding province. The young man was stopped while loading several large suitcases into the trunk of his car. Inside them, police initially found around 98 kilograms of cannabis.
The investigation continued after the 29-year-old was found with several keys that opened premises used as warehouses in Guidonia and Rome. During further checks, the rest of the drugs were found. A significant amount was also hidden inside refrigerators. Police also seized packaging materials for doses and some calculation notes that are suspected of being related to the quantity and distribution of the drugs.
