
Two people have been arrested and another has been placed under the measure of "compulsory appearance" as part of the investigation into a suspected scheme for illegal acquisition of properties in the Levan area. Ervin Habilaj, 49 years old, suspected of being the beneficiary of the properties, and Ertis Shehu, 46 years old, former director of ASHK Fier, were arrested. Emiljano Rukos, 40 years old, former topographer at the Cadastre, was placed under the measure of "Compulsory appearance at the Judicial Police". According to the investigation, Habilaj is suspected of having collaborated with Shehu and Ruko to forge documents with the aim of unjustly acquiring real estate.
The case is being investigated for “Forgery of documents”, “Fraud”, “Laundering of proceeds of crime” and “Abuse of office”. The Fier Prosecution is also verifying other suspected cases of forgery of documents, concealment of income and abuse of office, as well as the involvement of other persons in the scheme.
