The former deputy director of the Border in the Korça region, Stiljan Pasho, has been sentenced to 7.4 years in prison. The Korça Prosecution Office, at the beginning of 2025, charged him with "Drug Trafficking", committed in two episodes in collaboration with 4 other people.
Initially, the sentence given by judges Valjona Haxhiraj, Eda Dika and Gentiana Shukullari for this police officer was 11 years in prison. However, due to the summary trial, he received a reduction of this sentence by 1/3, ultimately being sentenced to 7 years and 4 months in prison.
Pasho himself, during the trial, denied the drug trafficking charge, claiming that he had only “abused his duty.” But this version was not considered credible by the Korça Court.
Meanwhile, Pasha's associate in Albania, Elton Grabocka, was initially sentenced to 13 years in prison on charges of drug trafficking, committed in collaboration. However, due to the shortened trial, Grabocka was ultimately sentenced to 8 years and 8 months in prison.
Meanwhile, the other two accomplices, Lorenzo Lika and Ervin Ibi, have been arrested in Greece, being investigated and sentenced by the Court of Appeal of Western Macedonia in Greece.
It is learned that during the period when the drug trafficking occurred, on November 27, 2023 and May 6, 2024, Stiljan Pasho held the position of Deputy Director of the Border in the Korça region.
Taking advantage of his position, he physically went to the Kapshtica border crossing point himself and, with the illegal orders he gave to his superiors at this customs checkpoint, turned this border gate with Greece into a highway for drug traffickers.
It is learned that, in the first episode, Stiljan Pasho collaborated with Lorenzo Lika and Ervin Ibi, where, after passing through Kapshtica customs of a "Passat" type vehicle, in which 26 kg of hashish had been introduced, Lika and Ibi were later arrested at the "Kristalopigy" border crossing in Greece.
Meanwhile, in the second episode, Elton Grabocka was arrested along with the deputy chief of the Border in Korça, Stiljan Pasho, and accused of drug trafficking.
In both cases of drug trafficking, police officer Stiljan Pasho was personally present at the Kapshtica border crossing.
