New details emerge from the anti-drug operation conducted in Tirana, to crack down on a network that distributed narcotics, especially near schools. According to sources, the arrested and wanted persons operated in at least 8 different groups, spread across several areas of Tirana.
One group operated in Lapraka, another in the Braka and Jordan Misje areas, while other groups extended their activity to Selitë, Yzberisht, Allias, as well as in the Tregu Elektrik and Qyteti Studenti areas.
In each of these groups, 3 to 4 people were identified who were involved in the sale of narcotics.
One of the features of this network was the cooperation between the groups. When one of them did not have narcotics, the clients were addressed to the other groups, thus continuing the distribution.
To document the criminal activity, the investigators used infiltrators and stimulated purchases, especially to document the sales of narcotics near educational institutions.
As part of the investigation, five suppliers of the groups were also targeted, suspected of providing heroin and cocaine that was then distributed in different areas of Tirana.
