
Tirana Police have arrested 4 people who, through online platforms, were defrauding citizens from different countries of the European Union. As part of the “Investing” operation, the owner of the premises where the activity was taking place, citizen Taulant Beleraj, was also declared wanted. According to the Police, the intervention was carried out in an area on Kavaja Street, adapted for work stations. There, citizens Emirjon Xhafa, Genci Ndoni, Ekzon Dervishi and Eroll Hyslihaka, as well as citizen EA, who are suspected of defrauding European citizens, were caught and arrested in flagrante delicto. The latter was proceeded with at large.

Another case of fraud through online platforms is cracked. 4 citizens are arrested, the owner of the premises is declared wanted and 1 citizen is released. 13 computer units, 19 mobile phones, 7 laptops and other materials are seized.
Specialists of the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Sector of the Tirana Police Department, in cooperation with the Cyber Crimes Investigation Sector and the Special Operational Force Sector, under the direction of the Tirana Prosecution Office, following information obtained through operational channels and a series of investigative and procedural actions, have successfully organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "INVESTING".
During the operation, the Police services intervened in an environment, on Kavaja Street, adapted for work stations, where they caught citizens E. Xh., GN, ED and EH, as well as citizen EA, who are suspected of defrauding citizens of various European Union countries, through online platforms. The investigations resulted in the environment being owned by citizen TB, who, in collaboration with the above citizens, was administering it with the aim of developing this illegal activity.
At the end of the first investigative actions, citizens E. Xh., 40 years old, GN, 42 years old, ED, 32 years old and EH, 31 years old were arrested. Citizen TB, 45 years old, was also declared wanted, while citizen EA, 23 years old, was released on bail.
As material evidence, 13 computer units, 19 mobile phones, 7 laptops and other materials suspected of being related to this activity were seized. In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, investigations continue for the full legal documentation of this activity. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
