The fight against transnational crime, drug trafficking, and illegal migration is among the top priorities of the administration of United States President Donald Trump.
This message was conveyed by the American Embassy in Tirana after Ambassador Eric Wendt's meeting with the leaders of the Special Anti-Corruption Structure (SPAK).
According to the Embassy, during the meeting, the crucial role of independent institutions in facing these challenges was discussed, as well as the importance of cooperation between Albania and the United States in the field of security and the fight against crime.
"Our partnership contributes to a more secure and prosperous future for both of our nations," the US Embassy's message emphasizes.
The meeting comes within the framework of ongoing Albanian-American cooperation to strengthen law enforcement institutions and confront forms of crime that transcend national borders.
