
A note warning of explosives was found on Monday on an AJET plane flying from Ankara to Sanliurfa in southeastern Turkey. The 136 passengers and 7 crew members were safely evacuated after landing. A thorough investigation has been launched. The prefect of Sanliurfa announced on social media that all necessary measures have been taken for their safe evacuation.
"On October 5, 2026, at 19:00, a note was found on the AJet passenger plane operating flight 4180 from Ankara to Sanliurfa, stating the presence of explosives. The plane landed at Sanliurfa Gap Airport at 20:05.
Passengers were safely evacuated and security forces will conduct an investigation into the presence of explosives on the plane. The plane was carrying 136 passengers and seven crew members.
