Trump thanks Albania and Kosovo for support for Gaza

US President Donald Trump thanked Albania and Kosovo during his speech at the UN General Assembly, mentioning them among the countries that have committed to helping stabilize Gaza.

"I want to express my gratitude to the United Nations Security Council for its unanimous support of our 20-point plan for peace in Gaza and for the formal approval of the Peace Board. It will be an important group of people. Nearly 30 countries have joined the Board, which I have the honor to chair.

We are grateful to these member countries that have contributed billions of dollars for humanitarian assistance and reconstruction, including Morocco, Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and many others. The money goes directly to where it is needed.

"Other countries are also contributing at levels you wouldn't believe. They've been extraordinary. I also want to thank the countries that have committed to sending troops, police forces, and providing training to help stabilize Gaza, including Indonesia, Morocco, Albania, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Jordan, and others. Since taking office, I've had the honor of helping resolve eight wars and have become friends with the leaders of those countries," Trump said.

Albania is one of the founding countries of the Peace Board. On January 22, the Parliament approved with 110 votes in favor the country's membership in this organization. Then, at the inaugural meeting of the Board, on February 19, Prime Minister Edi Rama confirmed that Albania will contribute military troops and police personnel to the international stabilization force in Gaza. Our country is committed to participating in the construction of public facilities, housing and infrastructure for Palestinian children.

The parliamentary committees are approving the draft law on Albania's participation in the military operation "Stability in Gaza" through an accelerated procedure. Albania will send a maximum of 40 soldiers, and the cost for each 6-month mission reaches an average of 1.7 million euros. ©LAPSI.al

Blendi Kajsiu: Prime Minister's misunderstanding on anti-corruption

The fact that no institution of our public administration noticed that millions of euros were invested in phantom incinerators, that AKSHI was controlled by an ordinary criminal, that the directors of the Municipality of Tirana awarded tenders to themselves, or that the police director and the director of SHISH worked for Gysi, shows that we do not have a public administration and a state.
