The few fans who braved the storm in Valencia were turned away by the Spanish authorities due to the heavy rain that made it impossible for the match between Levante and Athletic Club to take place: water flooded every part of the stadium and made it impossible for the players to go out onto the pitch, also because the tunnel to the changing rooms was completely flooded. The orange alert had not caused much concern, but a few minutes before the match a downpour broke out that made the pitch unsuitable for play, forcing La Liga to postpone the match to an indefinite date.
The footage from inside the stadium is impressive. The tunnel leading to the pitch is covered by several centimetres of water and the pitch has almost turned into a swimming pool, as the water continues to fall in torrents. There were also problems in several sectors of the stadium and the situation did not improve as the minutes passed, leading to the complete postponement of the match in order to avoid taking unnecessary risks.

Levante's stadium is unusable
The intensity of the rain increased just minutes before the start of the match and everyone was amazed by the speed with which the stadium was flooded. In a very short time, the pitch had become unusable, full of puddles of water that did not allow the ball to bounce, while the tunnel to the changing rooms was terribly flooded, making it difficult for the players to pass through.

Levante and Athletic had also managed to warm up under the incessant rain, but the orange alert and the increase in rainfall raised the alarm: the stadium was flooded and there were no safety conditions to return, so before kick-off it was announced that the match would be postponed to an indefinite date, a difficult undertaking considering the calendars of the two teams. The cover of the stands was also useless, which did not withstand the downpours, causing the few spectators present to get wet and then to be evacuated around 10:00 pm, when the teams had already left the facility.
