The Chairman of the Interior and Defense Committee, Bledi Çuçi, stated today that the National Security Council is expected to convene again after an audit is completed. According to him, the audit will aim to identify whether the situation created has brought possible consequences for the functioning of the SHISH.
In this regard, he announced that the National Security Council met on Monday, where SHISH presented preliminary information on the matter. Çuçi emphasized that at the end of the meeting it was decided to conduct a full audit as soon as possible and, after its completion, the Council to meet again for a broader discussion.
Bledi Çuçi: Regarding this issue, the President convened the Security Council on Monday and there was a preliminary information from SHISH. The Council was also tasked with conducting a thorough audit as soon as possible regarding any possible consequences, if any, for the functioning of SHISH and I believe that very soon we will have a meeting of the National Security Council, where it will be discussed even more extensively after this audit has been conducted. Our commission also has a role in this regard, but all state links must be followed and first the Prosecutor's Office must be allowed to investigate to the end the involvement of the former director of SHISH in matters related to security or not.
Once we have a clarification of the situation, we also have our instruments to call to report the security institutions on this issue. But let the Prosecution quietly do its work and let us pass these information filters that come from such an important institution as SHISH and then we are there too. With time, all the responsibilities of everyone will be clarified, whether criminal or administrative.
