Two people have been arrested in Italy on suspicion of the murder of 55-year-old Albanian Mikel Rroku, who was found dead in his Turin apartment with serious head injuries. The victim's 45-year-old wife and her 52-year-old partner, both Italian citizens, have been arrested.
Rroku's body was found on July 6 in his apartment on Via Verolegno, in the Lucento area. According to authorities, he was in an advanced state of decomposition and had severe head injuries. The alarm was raised by neighbors, who had notified authorities of a strong smell coming from the apartment. After finding the body, the Carabinieri launched investigations to reconstruct the 55-year-old's last hours and the circumstances of his death.
The investigation led to the victim's wife and her partner, who are now suspected of the Albanian's murder. Italian authorities are continuing their investigations to determine the full dynamics of the incident and the role of each of the two arrested.
