The families of Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli and Jakup Krasniqi have called for institutional responsibility and civic unity, at a time when the decision against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army marked a strong blow to the Albanian people.
In a letter published by Jakup Krasniqi's son, Altin Krasniqi, the families expressed gratitude to the citizens of Kosovo for their support.
Letter from the Thaçi, Veseli and Krasniqi families:
We, the families of Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli and Jakup Krasniqi, call for institutional responsibility and civic unity in these moments.
We express our deep gratitude to the people of Kosovo for their continued support, solidarity and stance towards the judicial process in The Hague.
We expect responsible state behavior from the people's elected representatives, in defense of the Constitution and the law, in relation to the Specialized Chambers.
We appreciate Albulena Haxhiu's invitation, but, to avoid any possible misunderstanding regarding family influence and interference in the decision-making of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, we expect to meet after the Assembly's decision.
