The first defeat in the championship for the reigning champions, who are defeated 3-0 by Brighton (Groß, Kostoulas, Andres) and stop after 4 consecutive victories. Another false step for Tottenham led by Roberto De Zerbit, for whom the reaction at the end and the goals of Gallagher and van Hecke are not enough: against Aston Villa the match ends 2-3. Home victories also for Everton and Newcastle, respectively 1-0 and 2-1 against Ipswich and Hull City.
TOTTENHAM-ASTON VILLA 2-3
The adventure of the Italian Roberto De Zerbi at Tottenham continues to fail. Spurs lose at home to Aston Villa, and do so after having conceded three goals (45' Manzambi, 67' Jackson, 79' Buendia). The reaction of the home team in the end was not enough: first they reduce the difference in the 86th minute with Gallagher and then in the 96th minute with van Hecke. Tottenham remains at the 2-point mark, but scores the first two goals in the championship, after having remained scoreless in the first four weeks.
BRIGHTON-ARSENAL 3-0
Negative day for north London, as the reigning champions Arsenal also lose and do so in a deep way in the field of an increasingly surprising Brighton. The team led by Fabian Hurzeler plays a great match against the Gunners, maintaining great solidity in defense, without sparing in attack. The goals of Groß in the 31st minute, Kostoulas in the 45th minute and Andrés in the 57th minute decided the match. The Seagulls climb to 10 points in the standings, currently in the Champions zone; while the Gunners are stopped, who tomorrow could see Manchester City break away.
OTHER MATCHES
David Moyes' Everton's unbeaten run continues, securing their second league win (along with three draws) at home to Ipswich: Barry's goal after 11 minutes decided the game. The visitors were also reduced to ten men due to Issahaku's second yellow card, while Anis Mehmeti (fresh from Maran's call-up to Albania) watched the game from the stands again.
Newcastle also wins, and does so at home to Hull City thanks to a lightning start: for the Magpies Willock scored in the 3rd minute and Hall in the 7th minute. In extra time, Jaissle's team misses a penalty with Wissa; the friends' efforts are in vain, who reduce the difference in the 67th minute with Cho.
