There was high expectation in Kosovo that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama would devote space in his speech before the UN General Assembly to what happened with the decision of the Hague Special Court for the former leaders of the KLA.
The main media outlets in Pristina today had headlines like this one from Klan Kosova : "Rama gives a speech at the UN General Assembly today: Will he talk about the KLA?".
"It is eagerly awaited whether the prime minister will include the issue of KLA leaders in his speech," writes Telegrafi .
But Rama disappointed everyone.
His 22-minute speech did not contain the words “Kosovo,” “KLA,” or “Special Court.” His biggest concern was Artificial Intelligence and then the “Flamingo Revolution.”
This immediately caused a reaction from the Kosovo media.
"Kosovo without a voice at the UN, Rama talks about artificial intelligence" is the headline of Koha.net.
"Not a single mention of Kosovo was made in the speech of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to the United Nations General Assembly on Friday. For about 20 minutes, Rama spoke about artificial intelligence, its dangers, and called for an international agreement on "sovereign and democratic AI," the article says.
"Edi Rama did not mention the punishment of KLA leaders at the UN" - " Kosovapress" headlines its article .
"The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, did not mention the punishment of former KLA leaders at all in his speech at the UN General Assembly. Rama's speech at the UN General Assembly focused on artificial intelligence, where he also mentioned ''Minister Diella'', but not the punishment of KLA leaders," the article says.
In a previous event, Rama accused Joe Biden and the US of betraying Ahshim Thaçi. In the end, it was he himself who betrayed him by not mentioning him in the most important hall in the world. ©LAPSI.al
