They threw eggs at him in New York, Rama attacks Albanians in the diaspora:

Rama after the egg attack in New York: "They won't stop me with mud, eggs and saliva"
Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted after the incident in New York, where he was attacked with eggs during an event, responding harshly to the people who, according to him, are trying to hinder him in his political mission.

In a lengthy reaction, Rama also focused on the symbolism of the national flag, declaring that he has raised it "higher than it has ever been in the eyes of the world."

"To those who cover themselves with the national flag and run through the streets like hysterical chickens, I only say that I have raised that flag higher than it has ever been in the eyes of the world," Rama writes.

The Prime Minister stated that attacks with eggs, mud or insults will not stop him in what he describes as a mission for Albania's European integration.

"To those who think they will stop me with mud, eggs and saliva, in my mission to take our flag to the top of a United Europe, I say that if for the first time in the history of the Albanian state we have an institutional system that demonstrates self-cleaning capabilities, this is a great achievement," he says.

Rama also dedicated an important part of his response to the fight against corruption and justice reform. According to him, the results of this fight are directly related to building an institutional system that is able to act against corruption within the system itself.

"In a country that is drowning in the swamp of corruption, there is no frontal fight nor concrete results against corruption, and that is the country we have lived in, all of us, until I and my party turned the wheel of justice from equality of all before the law!" Rama writes.

The Prime Minister emphasizes that, according to him, today's Albania is different from that of the past and that progress in the fight against corruption is also being evaluated in relations with the European Union.

"Today, Albania is no longer that country, and that is why the European Union increasingly values Albania for this war," Rama said.

At the end of the reaction, the prime minister uses ironic language towards his opponents, accusing them of trying to exploit the corruption debate to politically attack him.

Rama concludes his reaction by ironizing the writing style of one of his critics, describing it as a text written "with chicken feet."

FULL DECLARATION

To those who cover themselves with the national flag and run through the streets like hysterical chickens, I only say that I have raised that flag higher than it has ever been in the eyes of the world. As for those who think that they will stop me with mud, eggs and saliva, in my mission to take our flag to the top of the United Europe, I say that if for the first time in the history of the Albanian state, we have an institutional system that demonstrates the ability to self-cleanse, this is a great achievement that did not fall from the sky but came precisely as one of the results of this mission! And let them listen and keep it in their ears, remembering that I can be defeated by the "miracle bombs" that amplify the word corruption in the sky day and night: In a country that is drowned in the swamp of corruption, there is no frontal fight nor concrete results against corruption, and we have lived in that country, all of us, until I and my party turned the wheel of justice from the equality of all before the law! Today, Albania is no longer that country, and that is why the European Union is increasingly appreciating Albania for this war, while the hysterical chickens of our village cluck and throw eggs in the air on behalf of the laughing roosters of the political and media market, who are as stupid as an egg, that they will stop me with endless rants about the corruption that is being fought by the very system we are building, or with folkloric insults and curses like that of this attached beak, which writes Albanian with chicken feet😁

Blendi Kajsiu: Prime Minister's misunderstanding on anti-corruption

The fact that no institution of our public administration noticed that millions of euros were invested in phantom incinerators, that AKSHI was controlled by an ordinary criminal, that the directors of the Municipality of Tirana awarded tenders to themselves, or that the police director and the director of SHISH worked for Gysi, shows that we do not have a public administration and a state.
