
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in Shkodra after being caught transporting 7 migrants from the Philippines and Afghanistan for a fee, who were suspected of illegally crossing the border into Montenegro.
The arrest was carried out during checks on the Vukpalaj–Aliaj road. As material evidence, the police seized the vehicle in which the migrants were being transported.

1 citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto after being caught transporting 7 citizens from the Philippines and Afghanistan in a vehicle, who were intending to illegally cross into Montenegro.
The vehicle in which the immigrants were being transported is seized.
The services of the Shkodra Local Directorate for Border and Migration, following intensive controls to prevent and crack down on the criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens for illegal border crossing, based also on information obtained through operational channels, organized and finalized the operation codenamed "Transit 4".
As a result of the operation, citizen LM, 23 years old, resident of Ura Vajgurore, was arrested.
During the operation, Border Police services stopped, on the Vukpalaj-Aliaj road segment, the vehicle driven by this citizen and in which 7 foreign citizens, 5 from the Philippines and 2 from Afghanistan, were being transported, for a fee, who were suspected of intending to illegally cross the state border with Montenegro.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra, for further action.
