An incredible world record - and not once, but twice - has been broken in the space of 3 days by 6-year-old Lian Yunji from China. The little Chinese girl broke the female world record for solving the Rubik's Cube.
As reported by the BBC, Lian Yunji became the only woman in the world to achieve a time of less than 4.5 seconds.
She initially broke the record with an average of 4.52 seconds and then improved it to 4.27 seconds in competitions held in Wuhan and Guangzhou, China.
The young competitor from Sichuan province has achieved more than 1,300 Rubik's Cube solving algorithms, after intensive training that included 2 to 3 hours of practice every day over the past year. ©LAPSI.al
