
A double tornado hit the coast near Marsala, in western Sicily, Italy, on Friday, October 9, causing extensive damage to buildings, vehicles and farmland.
The extreme phenomenon formed over the sea, near the port of Marsala, before the two columns of air moved towards land and the Trapani area.
As a result of the bad weather, the "Alcide De Gasperi" school in the Terrenove neighborhood suffered severe damage. Meanwhile, in Petrosino, a vehicle was hit by the tornado and ended up in a stream.
The two people inside the car were injured and transported to the hospital for medical attention.

The extreme phenomenon left behind damage in the coastal area, while emergency services intervened to deal with the consequences.
