Albania is ready for Finland, in the Helsinki battle for the lead: Maran takes

Albania takes to the field today with a clear objective: to defend the top spot in Group 1 of League C and take another step towards achieving their goal in this edition of the Nations League. Facing the Rossoneri is Finland, a direct opponent in the race for first place, with the challenge to be held at the “Helsinki Olympic Stadium”, starting at 15:00.

The two teams are separated by just two points in the standings. Albania leads with 6 points after two wins in the first two matches, while Finland has collected 4 points. For this reason, the 90 minutes in Helsinki carry more weight than a regular group match.

Two wins, but now comes the direct test

Rolando Maran's team has started this phase of the competition in the best possible way. Two matches and two wins have given Albania the advantage at the top of the table, but the distance with Finland is not so great as to allow for false steps.

The Reds have the opportunity to maintain control over the top positions with a positive result and create a more favorable situation for the remaining matches. On the contrary, a negative result would significantly narrow the gap and make the race for first place even more open. So, today's challenge is not just a transfer. It is a confrontation between two teams that aim to stay at the top of the group and every detail can affect the continuation of the race.

Maran completes rehearsals at the match stadium

Albania held their final training session at the stadium where the match will be played. After travelling from Cesena to Helsinki on Thursday, the team settled in and then got back to work on their final preparations. The final training session gave the Italian coach the opportunity to set tactical ideas for the match against Finland and work on the details that could make the difference in such a match.

Maran knows that he will face an opponent who also has concrete objectives in the group. For this reason, organization, management of match moments and efficiency in front of goal are expected to be important elements for the Rossoneri.

Cake returns, Hasa remains out

There is also positive news in the red and black camp regarding the condition of the players. Klim Kak has fully recovered from the injury that kept him out of the first two matches and is now available to Maran again. His return gives the coach one more alternative in the defensive department, precisely in a match where the balance in the back can be decisive.

On the other hand, Luis Hasa will not be part of this challenge. The midfielder has had physical problems and a high temperature, so he has returned to Tirana to continue his recovery. The plan is for Hasa to be available for the final group match against San Marino, on October 6. In this way, Maran will have to do the math without him in Helsinki, while the rest of the group is reported to be in good physical condition.

Three players out of the list for the challenge

For the match against Finland, Samuele Sina, Sabah Kerjota and Klevi Qefalija will be in the stands. All three were left out of the 23-man list for this match by Maran's technical selections. Meanwhile, Klisman Cake, Feta Fetai and Naser Aliji return to the group of available players.

The decision for Sina and Qefalijan can be considered somewhat unexpected, especially given the fact that both were activated in the match against San Marino. Sina even started that match from the first minute. Together with Kerjota, they represented some of Maran's innovations in Albania's list for this edition of the Nations League. Now, the coach has made the choices for the transfer of Helsinki and all attention is on the formation that will take to the field.

Even the weather can play a role.

Another factor that could affect today's match is the weather. In Helsinki, cloudy weather is expected, but no precipitation during the match. Temperatures are expected to be around 15-16 degrees Celsius, while a cold wind could make the temperature feel lower. The thermal sensation is expected to be around 12 degrees, creating a typical autumn atmosphere in the Finnish capital.

However, the Rossoneri's attention will be on the pitch. Albania came to Helsinki with a two-point advantage and a two-game winning streak. It now remains to be seen whether Maran's team will be able to maintain this pace in the first direct test for the top spot.

90 minutes that can change the balance

On paper, the difference between the two teams is only two points, but the importance of this challenge is much greater than that. A positive result would keep Albania in a favorable position and would give continuity to the perfect start. Finland, on the other hand, sees this meeting as an opportunity to get closer to the Rossoneri and reopen the race for the top of the group.

At the "Helsinki Olympic Stadium", starting at 15:00, it will be time to see if Albania will manage to defend its advantage or if Finland will change the balance of Group 1 of League C.

Blendi Kajsiu: Prime Minister's misunderstanding on anti-corruption

The fact that no institution of our public administration noticed that millions of euros were invested in phantom incinerators, that AKSHI was controlled by an ordinary criminal, that the directors of the Municipality of Tirana awarded tenders to themselves, or that the police director and the director of SHISH worked for Gysi, shows that we do not have a public administration and a state.
