
Former US General Wesley Clark has reacted to the sentencing of four former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), expressing his disappointment with the outcome of the trial.
In an exclusive statement to Klan News, Clark said he is particularly disappointed by the fact that former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi has been held in detention for about five years.
"Yes, I am disappointed with the result and I am disappointed that Thaçi was held in detention for 5 years," Clark said.
The former American general was one of the important figures in the NATO intervention during the war in Kosovo in 1999.
