"The Sun": Alliance between Albanian gangs, a concern for British

An investigation by the British newspaper "The Sun" highlights that Albanian criminal gangs in Britain are increasingly creating connections between themselves, forming a network of cooperation that extends to different cities in the country. According to the investigation, the groups are involved in drug trafficking, violent clashes, shootings and knife attacks.

Former detective Lee Davies tells The Sun that the landscape of organised crime in Britain has changed significantly over the past two decades. He says criminal groups have begun to cooperate more to control drug markets, avoiding direct conflicts that could attract the attention of the police.

In The Sun article, Davies also mentions the role of Albanian groups in the British cocaine market, claiming that they have developed strong links with other criminal networks. He says that, instead of fighting for territory, criminal groups are increasingly seeking partnerships that allow them to share the profits.

Meanwhile, former detective chief Mark Griffin warns that British police may no longer have the resources to carry out long, covert operations against organised crime. Investigations that could once have taken years have become harder to carry out, Griffin says, with police often focusing on managing the aftermath of crime, such as stabbings and shootings, rather than tackling networks at their highest levels.

The article also raises concerns about the exploitation of children and vulnerable adults by criminal groups. Griffin mentions the phenomenon of “county lines”, where criminal networks use other people to distribute drugs, as well as “cuckooing”, where the homes of vulnerable people are used for criminal activity. At the end of the investigation, The Sun writes that according to Griffin, people at the highest levels of organized crime are often very intelligent and know how to exploit the weaknesses of society.

TITLE: The intricate network of deadly drug gangs that own guns and dominate the UK – find out which ones operate in your area.

Notorious armed gangs are collaborating across Britain, creating a vast criminal network. Our exclusive map shows where the main criminal groups in the UK are located.

According to him, the police can deal with the consequences of gang activity, such as stabbings, shootings or assaults, but the only way to combat organized crime is through proactive policing and long-term investigations.

“I talk to people who say that the ability of the police to investigate organized crime has diminished because there are fewer resources overall and resources have been redirected towards protecting vulnerable people.”

He described much of today's policing as "firefighting."

According to him, more resources are needed to deal with gangs that exploit children and vulnerable adults.

Police plans talk a lot about combating criminal exploitation, the county lines phenomenon and protecting children, but Griffin raises the question of whether these measures are sufficient in practice.

“It looks good on paper, but if I hear from unofficial sources that police oversight capacity has decreased by 50 percent compared to 20 years ago, how can these objectives be achieved?”

The "perfect storm" in northern cities

Mark Griffin said a "perfect storm" was brewing in Britain's northern cities, where poverty, unemployment, housing and education problems were making people more vulnerable to gang attraction and recruitment.

"It's the vulnerable people who are being exploited. They are pawns being used by other pieces on the chessboard."

He also mentioned the phenomenon of "cuckooing", where criminal groups invade or use the homes of vulnerable people for criminal activity.

"These gangs are willing to sacrifice people."

According to Griffin, people at the highest levels of organized crime are often very intelligent and know how to exploit society's weaknesses.

He warned that conditions are being created for an increasingly problematic situation.

When it comes to the fact that crime brings money, children and youth see their peers or older youth in the community earning money through crime and want to have the same lifestyle.

Blendi Kajsiu: Prime Minister's misunderstanding on anti-corruption

The fact that no institution of our public administration noticed that millions of euros were invested in phantom incinerators, that AKSHI was controlled by an ordinary criminal, that the directors of the Municipality of Tirana awarded tenders to themselves, or that the police director and the director of SHISH worked for Gysi, shows that we do not have a public administration and a state.
