The "Mother Teresa" International Airport in Rinas brought together this Sunday, at least in terms of location, Prime Minister Edi Rama and the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.
The two political leaders were in Rinas at the same time, but for different reasons and commitments.
Prime Minister Rama was at the airport after arriving from the US and from where he was delivering the message to Albanian citizens regarding the issue of SHISH director Vlora Hyseni.
Meanwhile, Berisha arrived at the VIP room to depart for Strasbourg, where he will participate in the activities of the Council of Europe.
His visit coincides with the autumn session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), whose proceedings take place in Strasbourg from September 28 to October 2, 2026.
For 5 days, parliamentarians from the member states of the Council of Europe will gather to discuss a range of current European issues.
The focus of the session is expected to be topics related to human rights, democratic standards and strengthening the rule of law. /LAPSI.al
