The death toll from a landslide in Nepal has risen to 579, with 1,924 people missing. Hundreds of foreign tourists and pilgrims are among the missing. The deadly landslide occurred in an area between Nepal and Tibet.

Rescue teams are racing against time, but as operations continue to try to find survivors, the risk of further flooding remains.

A video from a house on the Nepal-Tibetan border shows people trapped on a balcony as water rages and sweeps away everything in its path. The footage shows the house standing upright after the flood, with many social media users commenting that the contractor deserves to be congratulated.

Nepal's army has been able to enter a tunnel, where it found 350 workers and residents. The tunnel, which was part of a hydroelectric project, was inaccessible due to flooding, but a rescue team managed to enter it. Videos show rescue teams and trapped people crawling through the mud. ©LAPSI.al

Blendi Kajsiu: Prime Minister's misunderstanding on anti-corruption

The fact that no institution of our public administration noticed that millions of euros were invested in phantom incinerators, that AKSHI was controlled by an ordinary criminal, that the directors of the Municipality of Tirana awarded tenders to themselves, or that the police director and the director of SHISH worked for Gysi, shows that we do not have a public administration and a state.
