Juventus suffered at the "Unipol Domus", but woke up in the last minutes and managed to draw 1-1 in Sunday evening's match, valid for the sixth week of Serie A, against an excellent Cagliari led by Pisacane. Kolo Muani saved the black and whites in the 81st minute, responding to the advantage scored by Maldini in the first half.
After a missed opportunity by Nico Gonzalez in the 15th minute of the match, it was the red and blues who opened the scoring in the 20th minute. Maldini cleverly took advantage of a series of favorable deflections inside the opposing area and beat goalkeeper Vicario, after receiving the ball from Mendy, thus scoring his fourth goal in this championship. Inspired by enthusiasm, the home team continued to insist and appeared dangerous again shortly after the 30th minute, with Winks. The Englishman tried a right-footed shot from outside the area, but the ball went just over the crossbar. Juventus had a hard time getting into the game, but in the extra minutes of the first half they managed to test the hands of goalkeeper Caprile, first with Nico Gonzalez and then with Sarr.
At the beginning of the second half, Spalletti activated Alajbegovic and Zhegrova, in an attempt to wake up his offensive department. It was the Kosovar who tested the Sardinian goalkeeper at the beginning of the second half, before Vicario's decisive save on Mendy in the 60th minute. However, the referee signaled the Cagliari striker for offside. The same situation was repeated three minutes later, when Vicario stopped Fadera, who had also started in an offside position, while Caprile saved a left-footed shot from a very active Zhegrova. The minutes passed and the black and whites began to send more balls towards the area. It was from one of these actions that the equalizer came in the 81st minute: Alajbegovic's cross and Kolo Muan's precise header, who thus scored his first goal in the championship. Moments later, the Frenchman squandered the opportunity to score a brace, hitting the crossbar from just inches away. Woltemade then failed to put the ball into the net after it rebounded off the post. Kolo Muani also missed the chance to score with an acrobatic scissor kick, in a direct confrontation with goalkeeper Caprile, who also stopped Woltemaden a few seconds before the 90th minute. The triple whistle thus confirmed the 1-1 draw, a result that brings Cagliari to 13 points and Juventus to 11 points.
