Fires in Kruja remain active, aerial intervention begins

The fires in the Zidon area and in the Boye neighborhood of Kruja have continued to be active even during the night, while firefighting forces have gone to the field. This morning, air operations have also begun, with the aim of completely extinguishing it. Two army helicopters continue to drop water on the fire, while the situation is moving towards neutralization.

There are no reports of injuries or damage to homes, but the damage to the ecosystem is incalculable. This is because the high intensity of the flames, favored by strong winds and high temperatures, has engulfed areas with vegetation and caused major damage to the flora and fauna of the area.

176 fires in 10 days, the law "burns" along with the grass

The law prohibits the burning of grass and agricultural waste from April 1 to November 30. But the Kruja fire shows that the three-year-old ban is not enough when the law is not enforced. In the first 10 days of August, 176 fires were recorded from north to south.

Andi Bushati: An autumn with an end-of-regime atmosphere

Whether it's his own party's own dice that throw him a punch, whether it's citizens who boo him in the street, whether it's the brave SPAK prosecutors who have gotten close to his throat, or international journalists who compare him to the godfather, one thing shows that Edi Rama's political curve has reached its end. His propaganda narrative is already over.

Blendi Kajsiu: Prime Minister's misunderstanding on anti-corruption

The fact that no institution of our public administration noticed that millions of euros were invested in phantom incinerators, that AKSHI was controlled by an ordinary criminal, that the directors of the Municipality of Tirana awarded tenders to themselves, or that the police director and the director of SHISH worked for Gysi, shows that we do not have a public administration and a state.
